Celebrating the 2002 in 2002
It's here, 2002, something a lot of us '02 fans have been talking about for the last couple of years. And with the new year come the problems of explaining that we drive an old BMW and yes it's a 2002 but it wasn't built then.... As someone said recently, get to know your BMW history and get to know your 02.

So, in honor of the year a few groups around the country are celebrating our favorite car on the coincidental February 2nd (02-02-02). To help you know what is happening where and when here is a run down of the big events for the 2002 in 2002!
Bay Area 02
We're getting together on 02-02-02 as well for a little Sonoma County back road tour. See the calendar for details.
Our big event this year is April 13th. The 2nd Annual Bay Area 02 Swap and Show in Palo Alto. This is going to be a gathering you don't want to miss. We plan to park our cars on the grass at El Camino park in Palo Alto, show 'em off and pop the hoods. Then go see what's for sale at the swap meet.
Also, Bay Area 02 will celebrate its 4th anniversary in August!

The organizers of this year's O'Fest are trying to get word
out to as many 2002 owners as possible to let them know that they are
really trying to make next years O'fest something special. They are hoping
to get 100+ 2002's to the event. They are planning special events,
prizes, etc. just for 2002 owners who drive their cars to O'fest. Many
newer BMWCCA members have never seen 2002's up close let alone driven in
one. We hope to correct that next year. Remember, the BMW CCA was founded because of the 2002.
