The July Bay Area 2002 adventure will be in Santa Cruz County. We will meet at West Valley College in Saratoga and depart at 10:30am. here's a link to directions to West Valley College. once on the page look at the campus map, I want to meet in Parking Lot 4 which is in the front of the campus. The route is generally as follows. From Saratoga, we will go south on Hwy. 9 up to Hwy. 35 (Skyline Blvd.) then down through Boulder Creek for a rest stop at the Brookdale Lodge. Then on to Felton where we’ll turn right at Felton Empire Grade and head back up to the ridge to Empire Grade and South into Santa Cruz to Natural Bridges. This marks the start of our coastal route past Steamer Lane and the Lighthouse, The Boardwalk, on to the Yacht Harbor, Pleasure Point, O’Neil’s house, Shark’s Cove, Capitola, and finally Soquel. Once we’ve gathered in Soquel we’ll climb back up into the SC Mountains for a BBQ and social gathering.
